Indigo Imagination Art Camp is a well rounded artistic experience that will leave a lifetime impression on your child’s creative pulse. We spend our days creating art, with complimentary music and drama activities, in a nice balance between indoor and outdoor settings.

 

At Indigo Imagination Art Camp we explore a variety of art techniques and mediums, as well as look to artists from both past and present for inspiration.  Explorations in water colour and acrylic painting, collage, printing, fibre arts and mixed media are how we spend our art time together.  For musical fun, we play a variety of percussion instruments, including several djembés (hand drums), shakers, bells, and a variety of other world instruments.  For drama and story telling, we allow our visual art themes to come alive in physical play. Different activities for all of these are inspired through our senses,  using a variety of stimuli techniques.

 

During the week, breaks are filled with fun creative games that take place on the grass, to allow the body to have physical activity while giving fuel to the imagination.  I have many enjoyable exercises to share with your child that include music with both voice and percussion instruments (hand drums included) and movement to help embody and envision line, shape and colour.  Also, drama exercises exploring emotions and expressions come into playtime activities which will then find themselves translated onto paper!
